Binh Thuan ranked 3rd overall.

The BTO - Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Boat Racing Championship concluded on August 5th with the first prize going to Binh Thanh District (Ho Chi Minh City), second prize to Quang Binh Province, and third prize to Binh Thuan Province.

The competition was attended by 25 units and over 650 athletes from various departments, social organizations, the Thu Duc City Sports Center, districts, and armed forces units of the Police and Army in the city and the provinces /cities of An Giang , Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Nghe An, and Quang Binh . The event attracted thousands of people cheering at Pier No. 4 (Thu Ngu flagpole) , District 1 (Ho Chi Minh City) .

The Binh Thuan team competed in Category A , 500-meter mass start race, in 20-person and 12-person boats. They won one gold medal and ranked third overall .

The Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Boat Racing Championship is an annual sporting event organized to provide opportunities for traditional boat racing athletes to compete, learn from each other, and enhance understanding, exchange ideas, and foster solidarity among Thu Duc City, districts, and participating units .

The Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Boat Racing Championship , an open event within the series of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City River Festival in 2023 , contributes to the development of unique tourism products in Ho Chi Minh City. Through river-based experiences , it promotes widespread awareness in the community to protect the environment of canals and rivers in Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to building the image of Ho Chi Minh City as an "Attractive - Vibrant - Modern" destination.
