Accordingly, the two shows on April 26 and 27 as part of the Born Pink World Tour at Foro Sol Stadium (Mexico City, Mexico) brought in a total revenue of 19,978,283 USD (about 469 billion VND) with 113,498 tickets sold.
That means each concert of BlackPink in Mexico brought in revenue of 9.989 million USD (more than 230 billion VND) with 56,749 audiences attending. This also helped the YG group own the most successful concert in the history of the Mexican market. The previous record belonged to singer Bad Bunny with revenue of 8.84 million USD (more than 207 billion VND) for the concert on the evening of December 4, 2022.
As of now (early June 2023), 40/62 shows of Born Pink World Tour have reported revenue, bringing in a total of more than 163.8 million USD (more than 3,800 billion VND) with over 904,000 tickets sold.
It is worth mentioning that all 40 concerts were 100% sold out, while BlackPink's concert ticket prices increased many times compared to the tour 4 years ago.
The lowest ticket price at the Mexico concert is 850 MXN (1.13 million VND), and the highest VIP ticket is sold for 29,500 MXN (39.2 million VND).
At the end of April 2023, when only 26/62 of the first shows were available, BlackPink surpassed the Spice Girls to own the highest-grossing girl group tour of all time.
Audience filled Foro Sol stadium, Mexico
According to Korean media, BlackPink's 100% sold-out shows show that the group's loyal fandom is growing extremely strongly globally. This shows that the BlackPink fandom's willingness to spend on idols is also among the top in the world.
Live Nation once conducted a study that showed that seeing their idols perform live is an exciting experience for loyal fans.
Fans will feel 5 times more excited than watching their idols perform on TV or digital platforms. This is the reason why Kpop fans often spend money to buy tickets to live concerts.
