Provincial Military Command visits People's Armed Forces Hero, Colonel Le Thanh Cu

On the afternoon of July 21, Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the An Giang Provincial Military Command, visited and presented gifts to Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Colonel Le Thanh Cu (in O Lam commune), on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

During the visit, Colonel Cao Minh Tam expressed his gratitude for Colonel Le Thanh Cu's contributions to the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland. He also wished the Colonel good health, happiness, and a happy life with his family.

At the same time, we hope that the family's descendants will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, strive to study, work, and actively participate in local emulation movements.

Colonel Le Thanh Cu (92 years old) was the former District Military Commander of Tri Ton District (old), one of the three Heroes of the People's Armed Forces of O Lam Commune. The Colonel made an important contribution to the legendary victory of 128 days and nights at Tuc Dup Hill (1968 - 1969), and was awarded 8 golden words by the Central Office for Southern Vietnam "Resiliently holding on, firmly holding To Mountain".
