Quitting a high-paying job, a beautiful female graduate writes an application to join the army

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of February 26, Quynh and 3,600 new recruits in Thanh Hoa left for military service. The beautiful girl brought with her the enthusiasm and ambition of youth, hoping to contribute to the country.
Nguyen Thi Quynh, 25 years old, village 2 Thinh Tri, Dong Quang commune, Dong Son district (Thanh Hoa) is tall, has a dark skin, a pretty face with dimples and a gentle smile. Quynh is one of five female citizens of Thanh Hoa province who volunteered to join the army in 2024. Two years ago, she graduated with a major in Economic Management from the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda. After graduating, Quynh worked as a customer service staff with an income of 15 million VND/month. However, she still decided to put her job aside, wrote an application to volunteer to join the army, and contribute her youth to build and protect her homeland.

"Since receiving the notice of enlistment, I have been nervous and have had many sleepless nights. Since then, I have gone online, looking for books and newspapers to read to understand life in the army. My mother often chats with me and cooks my daughter's favorite dishes. People in the village also come to visit and encourage me. Since knowing that I am joining the army, my Facebook has become "hot" with countless friend requests and good wishes from relatives and friends," Quynh confided.

According to Quynh, her father was a soldier, her brother also worked in the armed forces. Her father passed away when Quynh was young, but to this day, her father's comrades still visit her family and share the difficult but heroic years in the army. Since then, her love for the green uniform of the soldier has "soaked in", urging her to volunteer to write an application to join the army. "The military environment is very strict. When I joined the army, I wore military uniform, no fancy dresses, no high heels. I still brought lipstick and powder, but I don't know if I was allowed to use them or not?", Quynh laughed when thinking about her days in the army.

Quynh said that after writing a volunteer application and receiving the military service notice, she discussed her wishes with the company's leaders to be able to leave to fulfill her sacred duty to the Fatherland. The company's leaders welcomed, encouraged, and created conditions for her to feel secure when she left to join the army. Ms. Le Thi Binh, Quynh's mother, said that her daughter is gentle, kind, and speaks softly. Quynh suffered a loss when she lost her father at the age of 2, but she studied well and worked hard. What's special is that Quynh loves the green of the soldier's uniform and has confided many times about her wish to leave to protect the Fatherland. When she received the news that her daughter had been called to join the army, she was nervous and worried.

"I heard that the military environment is very strict, training in a sunny and windy training ground. However, I support my child's decision. I hope he will try his best in training and practice. No matter what the environment or circumstances, he will try to overcome and strive to complete all assigned tasks well," said Ms. Binh. Mr. Lam Ba Duong, Commander of the Dong Quang Commune Military Command, said that Nguyen Thi Quynh is the only young woman in Dong Quang Commune, Dong Son District, to perform military service in 2024.

"We talked to him a lot about the life of Uncle Ho's soldiers. With his love for the green uniform, he will strive to train, overcome challenges and mature in the military environment," said Mr. Duong.
