Our province has a long coastline, many key areas of national defense and socio-economic development. Meanwhile, illegal fishing and crimes in the coastal border area are still complicated. This reality places increasingly high demands on the provincial Border Guard force. After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05 of the Politburo and directives of the Central Military Commission, studying and following Uncle Ho has become a key and regular political task of the force. During the implementation process, the Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Command has directed to combine the content of studying with the implementation of border guard tasks, patriotic emulation movements such as: "National Border Guard Day", "The whole country for the poor", "Building new rural areas". Through specific models such as: "Comprehensively strong Border Guard Station", "Border Guard officers and soldiers learn from Uncle Ho, follow Uncle Ho", "Charity rice jar", "Border Guard Piggy Bank" ... have been and are continuing to arouse and further enhance the sense of responsibility and self-discipline of officers and soldiers, creating a positive spread in the community.
The above models not only have profound political education but also have positive contributions to society, especially supporting poor students, helping people develop the economy and maintaining security and order in the stationed areas. The models: "Border Guard Station without officers and soldiers violating discipline", "Youth Union studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings", or "Bright spot in drug prevention and control"... have shown the practicality of learning from Uncle Ho in the entire force. In 10 years, the entire force has had over 30 collectives and 50 individuals commended and rewarded by the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command for their outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Many collectives and individuals have received letters of merit and certificates of merit from the Ministry of National Defense , the Border Guard Command, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.
Typically, the Political Department - a typical unit in building the emulation movement to study and follow Uncle Ho; the General Staff Department - a unit with many initiatives in advising on defensive operations, training for combat readiness and building forces; the Drug and Crime Prevention Department - a unit with many initiatives, successfully fighting dozens of major projects. The Border Guard Stations: Thanh Hai, Mui Ne, Tan Thanh, Phuoc Loc - typical in implementing the Model "Sticking with the people - Helping people develop sustainable economy in the coastal border area".
In addition to implementing the study of Uncle Ho through specific actions, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee also directed the inclusion of the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the criteria for evaluating cadres and party members. It is known that every year, over 98% of party members complete their tasks well and excellently, of which 30-35% of party members are classified as excellent. Most of the branches and grassroots party committees complete their tasks well and excellently.
