Ministry of Science and Technology works with technology enterprises to promote digital transformation

The Ministry of Science and Technology plans to work with units implementing digital transformation. On March 27, a working delegation of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) led by Mr. Dao Ngoc Chien, Director of the State Key Office, worked with representatives of CMC Corporation on the implementation of two ongoing national digital transformation tasks.

CMC 's two National Digital Transformation missions are: committing to building the CMC Cloud platform into the number one cloud computing platform for Vietnamese people, and building the Vietnamese AI knowledge platform – the C.OpenAI open ecosystem, with two virtual assistant products, C.LS.

Representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology understood CMC Group's future technological development needs and shared the Ministry's upcoming policies and initiatives.

Mr. Dao Ngoc Chien highly appreciated CMC's efforts in developing core technologies and its needs, emphasizing the necessity of cooperation between state management agencies and private enterprises in large-scale digital transformation projects. The Ministry of Science and Technology also proposed support directions to help CMC better access state resources, thereby accelerating the research and application of technology in practice.

Resolution 57 sets a target of forming five large digital technology corporations by 2025, on par with those in advanced countries. Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung stated: To develop science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation, large enterprises must take the lead. To have large enterprises, the State needs to assign large tasks, commission projects, and give specific responsibilities so that Vietnamese enterprises can "grow."

To implement Resolution 57, at the National Forum on Vietnam's Digital Technology Enterprises in early 2025, several large domestic digital enterprises were tasked with mastering technologies such as 5G, 6G, Blockchain, IoT, Vietnamese AI models, and AI virtual assistants. These are core technologies that will create breakthroughs for the development of digital and new technologies.

The Minister of Science and Technology has assigned Mr. Dao Ngoc Chien to lead discussions with relevant units to find effective cooperation solutions that ensure sustainability and long-term benefits for both sides.

Regarding the two National Digital Transformation tasks, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung directed and requested CMC to implement them quickly, ensuring that the committed content is accurate, that results can be measured, and that a report is submitted to the Government.
