Lady Gaga's father made the comments while talking about families with different political views on Fox Business's Cavuto: Coast to Coast program, which aired on November 6.
Now, with Donald Trump winning the 2024 US presidential election, Germanotta believes the family divide will be "healed".

"We will get through this," he confidently asserted, further explaining his stance: "People need to understand that even though I am a Republican and have a conservative attitude, that does not mean I do not support the LGBTQ+ community."
Of course, his daughter has long been a supporter of the LGBTQI+ community.
Germanotta had supported Donald Trump (78 years old) for president in September 2024 and before the 2020 election.
He also voiced his support for Trump days after the businessman criticized Lady Gaga, 38, for supporting President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
This time, Lady Gaga also supported Ms. Harris (60 years old) and appeared at one of her rallies in Pennsylvania along with Oprah Winfrey, hip hop artist Fat Joe, pop star Ricky Martin and many others.

She performed God Bless America while playing piano at the Philadelphia event and gave a passionate speech before introducing Ms Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff.
"For so much of this country, women have had no voice. We women raise our children, keep our families together, and support our men when they make decisions. But tomorrow, women will be a part of making those decisions. Today, I hold in my heart all the strong, resilient women who have made me who I am today. I am voting for someone who will be president for all Americans," Lady Gaga said, returning to the stage at the end of the night to sing Edge of Glory .
