The interdisciplinary representative said that after surveying along Ring Road 1 from Nguyen Khoi embankment to Buoi Street intersection (Ba Dinh), there were 4 initial locations identified as having sufficient conditions and area to arrange parking combined with charging stations for electric vehicles.
These four locations include: The vacant land from house number 621 - 768 De La Thanh street; the parking lot in the vacant land next to the headquarters of the Russian Federation Embassy at the roundabout of Ring Road 1 - Kim Ma - Cau Giay; the sidewalk and vacant land along Tran Khat Chan street from the intersection of Bach Mai street to the intersection with Lac Nghiep street, more than 500m long; the vacant land in front of the headquarters of Vietnam National Shipping Lines at the intersection of Xa Dan - Giai Phong.

The above locations are assessed to have enough space to both serve as parking lots for motorbikes and cars and install charging stations for electric vehicles. Furthermore, the current status of these locations is also being assigned to the Hanoi Parking Company for use as car and motorbike parking lots, so the reorganization and planning is also very appropriate.
Previously, on July 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed and issued Directive No. 20/CT-TTg on a number of urgent and drastic tasks to prevent and resolve environmental pollution.
The Prime Minister requested Hanoi City to implement solutions so that by July 1, 2026, there will be no more motorbikes and scooters using fossil fuels (gasoline and oil) circulating in Ring Road 1.
Also according to the Prime Minister's direction, from January 1, 2028, personal cars running on gasoline and diesel will also be restricted within Ring Roads 1 and 2. By 2030, the roadmap will be expanded to all personal vehicles using fossil fuels within Ring Road 3.
