Minister Dang Quoc Khanh inspected the Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV on the Nhan Co bauxite mining project.

During a field survey at the Quarry in 7-8, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh requested that the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group soon coordinate with the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee to implement a mechanism for land return after bauxite mining. This will be the basis for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to submit to the National Assembly for consideration in the coming time.

Specifically, for the 130ha area that TKV is completing procedures to return to the locality after bauxite mining, the Minister requested the Vietnam Minerals Department to coordinate with relevant units to speed up the return procedures next week. After the mine is restored, the land will be handed over to the locality to continue socio -economic development and preserve agricultural land and forest land.

For the exploited areas in the coming period, we will study and develop a mechanism to return the land to the people when they need to use it. During the exploitation process, we will support the people with the affected assets. Land ownership rights will remain intact.

Regarding the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh emphasized that if necessary, there will be adjustments so that when the Group completes the procedures to close the mine, it will hand it over to the locality, and from there, there will be land for the people to produce and develop the economy and society better.
