On the morning of March 21, 2024, the working delegation of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Central Economic Committee led by Comrade Le Trieu Dung, Chairman of the National Competition Commission, Ministry of Industry and Trade, had a working session with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications to monitor, inspect and urge the implementation of Directive No. 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat on strengthening the leadership of the Party and the management responsibility of the State for the protection of consumer rights.
Representing the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications, there was comrade Nguyen Thanh Lam, member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister, and leaders of a number of agencies and units under the Ministry of Information and Communications working with the working delegation.
Overview of the working session
At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Press Department, said: After Directive 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat was issued, the Ministry of Information and Communications has integrated, disseminated and thoroughly grasped the basic content of the Directive to all cadres, civil servants and employees in conferences to deploy the Ministry's tasks, in order to raise awareness of responsibility in advising and directing the propaganda work to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on consumer rights protection.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued many programs, plans, documents directing, urging, and organizing the implementation of tasks to combat smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods; and protect consumer rights according to Directive 30-CT/TW.
Regarding the direction of information and propaganda, the Ministry of Information and Communications has issued a number of documents to promote the information and propaganda work of Directive 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat and at the same time promptly disseminate the contents of legal documents, documents, and instructions on skills for using services related to the field of information and communication on the Ministry's information channels; direct and thoroughly disseminate press and television agencies, actively promote information and communication to create social consensus, promote the efforts of ministries, branches, localities and all people to strive to implement the goals and tasks set forth in Directive 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat.
In addition, the Ministry of Information and Communications has requested postal, telecommunications and internet enterprises and publishers to strengthen supervision of organizations and individuals producing, importing and trading goods in the list of products and goods that are potentially unsafe under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications, promptly detect and handle administrative violations of violators in accordance with the provisions of law, and coordinate with functional units in handling violations of the law in e-commerce activities.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Trieu Dung highly appreciated the participation of the Ministry of Information and Communications in implementing Directive No. 30-CT/TW. To further promote the achieved results, the Ministry of Information and Communications needs to synthesize and complete the report on the implementation of Directive 30-CT/TW so that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade can add it to the report of the conference to review Directive 30-CT/TW.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam said that the Ministry of Information and Communications will soon complete institutions and develop digital platforms to serve product quality inspection and realize consumer protection./.
