Ministry of Construction transfers traffic infrastructure assets of 4 national highways to Dong Nai for management

Accordingly, the transfer of road infrastructure assets includes: nearly 153km of road and road infrastructure assets (road management offices, road bridges)... on 4 national highways decentralized from the Ministry of Construction to the Provincial People's Committee for management according to regulations.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Finance , the sections of 4 national highways passing through the province along with the associated auxiliary works will be transferred from the Ministry of Construction to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, including: National Highway 1 with a length of more than 22km (the section within Bien Hoa city has bypasses, collector roads, and parallel roads); National Highway 20 with a length of more than 75km; National Highway 51 with a length of more than 37km and National Highway 56 with a length of more than 18km.

Also according to the decision of the Ministry of Finance, the road infrastructure assets of 4 national highways were transferred from the Ministry of Construction to the Provincial People's Committee with the total original value of the transferred assets according to the accounting books being more than 5.7 trillion VND, the remaining value according to the accounting books being more than 4.1 trillion VND. The Ministry of Construction is fully responsible for the information, reporting data and decentralization of national highway management to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for management according to the law.

After receiving the assets, the Ministry of Construction and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province will direct relevant agencies and units to manage, use and exploit road traffic infrastructure assets according to regulations.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the reason for transferring the management agency from the Ministry of Construction to the Provincial People's Committee for the sections of these four national highways is because it falls under the case of transferring road traffic infrastructure assets stipulated in Clause 4, Article 4, Decree No. 165 of the Government; Point a, Clause 1, Article 22, Decree No. 44 of the Government.
