According to the Food Safety Department, the media has published information about the Nutri Brain IQ food supplement being “hyped” as a “miracle drug” to cure autism. The facility mentioned in the above article is located in Hanoi .
The Food Safety Department requested the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department to inspect and strictly handle organizations and individuals that produce, trade, and advertise products mentioned in the article in violation.
According to the information posted, the Nutri Brain IQ supplement is disguised as a “miracle drug” that helps autistic children recover quickly. The Nutri Brain IQ product is advertised as being manufactured in Japan and is used as a medicine to treat “autism spectrum disorder” in order to appeal to the anxiety of many parents whose children have autism spectrum disorder.

In addition, the Food Safety Department also requested the Hanoi Food Safety Department to inspect and handle organizations and individuals who advertise Hikid milk products according to information reported in the press. The company that imports and exclusively distributes this product in Vietnam is located in Hanoi.
According to this article, a Hikid milk advertisement directly compares it with fresh milk, specifically “100gr of Hikid equals 20 liters of fresh milk”. At the same time, the phrase “Hikid - No. 1 in height” frequently appears and also uses famous people to advertise to increase credibility.
Recently, on social networks, there has been an explosion of advertisements for medical nutritional products, foods for special diets, nutritional products for children up to 36 months old, functional foods, etc., including many advertisements that "explode" the products' effects as medicines. In particular, to appeal to consumers' psychology, many advertisements hire actors, models, artists, celebrities, etc. to advertise and sell products directly on YouTube channels, social networks, etc.
Faced with this situation, the Food Safety Department has sent a dispatch to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information; the Department of Grassroots Culture, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, requesting strict handling of celebrities who violate regulations on advertising food products.
In order for the law to be strictly enforced and to promptly prevent the over-advertising of food products' effects, the Food Safety Department requests that units coordinate to check information, handle illegal advertising on social networking sites, and handle celebrities whose advertising violations have been reported.
