The tournament for national teams in Group 2 of Asian Volleyball has been renamed AVC Womens' Volleyball Nations Cup 2025 with many changes in the competition format and benefits of the participating parties. 11 national women's teams that have not qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Nations League will participate in the AVC Nations Cup 2025, thereby accumulating points to participate in the above world-class playground. In addition, the champion of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 will also be granted the right to participate in the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship.
As the defending champion for two consecutive seasons, the Vietnamese team is honored to be awarded the right to host the tournament taking place from June 7 to 14 at Dong Anh District Gymnasium, Hanoi . Also participating in this tournament are the teams of Australia, India, Taiwan - China, Iran, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong - China, Mongolia, New Zealand and the Philippines.

The 11 teams are divided into two groups, playing a round robin within the group to determine points. The top four teams from each group will enter the semi-finals to determine positions 1-4; the next four teams will play cross-matches to determine positions 5-8 while the bottom three teams from each group will compete for positions 9-11.
This is the 4th year the AVC Challenge Cup/AVC Nations Cup has been held. In the last 2 seasons, the Vietnamese team won the championship.
In preparation for this year's tournament, the Vietnamese women's team has been training in Quang Ninh for over a month. Besides the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, who is in good physical condition and in good form and has been trusted to hold the position of captain, familiar names such as Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, and Doan Thi Lam Oanh will continue to be present.
