Having already secured a ticket to the 2026 World Cup before the match took place, coach Carlo Ancelotti decided to experiment with the attacking quartet of Joao Pedro, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha and Estevao. In which, Raphinha played as an attacking midfielder instead of a left forward like at Barcelona.

In the first 45 minutes, the home team Brazil had the advantage thanks to a goal by young talent Estevao in the 38th minute. "Selecao" dominated the game and controlled the game well thanks to the central midfielder pair Casemiro and Bruno Guimaraes.

In the second half, Brazil continued to play proactively and dominated the visitors, before scoring two more goals thanks to Lucas Paqueta and Guimaraes. In the end, Brazil won all 3 points and maintained second place in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round in South America after the penultimate match.

This is also Brazil's third consecutive unbeaten match under new coach Ancelotti. "Selecao" won 2 and drew 1 match, scoring 4 goals and not conceding any.

In this training session, coach Ancelotti did not call up big names like Neymar or Vinícius Junior. But the Brazilian attack was not weakened by the presence of high-performing players like Pedro, Raphinha or Estevao.

Brazil will close the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a match against Bolivia on September 10.

The embarrassing defeat made Neymar cry. In the early morning of August 18, in the 20th round of the Brazilian National Championship, Santos suffered the biggest defeat in the club's history when they were crushed by Vasco da Gama with a score of 0-6 at Morumbis Stadium.
