Local sources said that a strange disease has broken out in Kaduna state in northwestern Nigeria.
Specifically, a strange disease appeared in Kafanchan town of Kaduna state and Kafanchan General Hospital is treating 10 suspected cases.
The hospital had to set up a temporary isolation area for these cases and collect samples for testing.
Most of the hospitalized patients were children aged 3-13 years old, with symptoms such as sore throat, headache, fever, difficulty swallowing, difficulty breathing and many other symptoms.
Kaduna state epidemiologists are on their way to Kafanchan town to determine the cause of the outbreak and its spread.
Meanwhile, local authorities have urged Kafanchan residents to be vigilant and have taken measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Several schools have been closed pending the conclusion of a medical investigation.
