The program to build new rural areas in Lac Duong district for the period 2023 - 2024 is assigned a total budget of nearly 27 billion VND, the disbursement result in 2023 is from 83.4% to 100%; estimated in 2024 is from 67.7% to 100%. The investment result of the district, commune, commune and inter-commune road system is 100% asphalt concrete, communes and towns in the district build night-time lighting lines; the system of lakes, irrigation dams, small ponds and lakes are renovated, upgraded and newly built; mixed gardens are planned and renovated to develop production.

Notably, Lac Duong district has developed a concentrated raw material area specializing in Arabica coffee with a total area of ​​5,000 hectares, with a total output of about 13,000 tons in 2013. In particular, it has issued a project to form a specialized production area of ​​300 hectares of high-tech coffee in Lac Duong town. In addition, Lac Duong district is implementing the planning of 3 high-tech agricultural areas: 346 hectares of Ap Lat area and 172 hectares of Da Deum II area (Da Sar commune); 181 hectares of K'Long K'Lanh area (Da Chais commune). In Lac Duong district, there are 12 chains linking production and consumption of local key products, attracting 270 households to participate. Through the linkage models, practical benefits have been brought such as: Input production costs are reduced compared to outside, farmers are more proactive in cultivation, mass production, easy to control diseases, fully meet criteria and standards on food safety, limit the instability of selling prices of agricultural products after harvest...

To facilitate the monitoring and control of production, control product quality, and ensure that agricultural products circulated on the market are of the correct growing region, Lac Duong district supports communes and cooperatives to register for the issuance of growing area codes for traceability, certifying establishments that meet food safety conditions for key agricultural products such as artichokes, coffee, leafy vegetables, etc. Up to now, the whole district has nearly 184.4 hectares of VietGAP certification; nearly 58 hectares of organic certification; 11 hectares of GlobalGAP certification. There are 9 codes with more than 58.2 hectares of coffee, leafy vegetables, artichokes, and plums that are granted domestic growing area codes. Currently, all new rural communes have 1 or more key products applying digital transformation in traceability, helping farmers access technology in recording, managing production logbooks, and tracing the origin of products quickly and accurately.

The general assessment shows that the New Rural Development Program of Lac Duong district has been shifting in the right direction, in line with the potential and advantages of the locality. In which, agricultural production towards high technology, sustainable agriculture, and smart agriculture is increasingly developing. Most of the socio -economic indicators have met and exceeded the plan; key programs and key projects have achieved the set goals. Up to now, the whole district of Lac Duong has 5/5 communes meeting the new rural standards, and Lac Duong town has met the civilized urban standards.

The goal is to strive by the end of 2024 for Lac Duong district to complete the criteria for a new rural district; Lat commune, Da Sar commune and Da Nhim commune to meet the advanced new rural standards; Da Chais commune and Dung K'no commune to meet the new rural standards; average income of about 61 million VND/person/year. In the coming time, the key solutions for building a new rural area in Lac Duong district will focus on restructuring the agricultural sector; developing production linkages along the value chain, especially in the preservation and processing of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; standardizing products and promoting and promoting trade to increase product value. In addition, building models for economic tourism development associated with developing local agricultural production; effectively implementing the OCOP Program towards improving quality associated with building brands, increasing competitiveness and aiming for exports...
