Pioneering project mark
It is not an exaggeration to say that The Grand Ho Tram is a pioneering project that laid the foundation for awakening the Ho Tram land. About 15 years ago, Ho Tram was just a quiet, anonymous fishing village. Several resort real estate projects were formed around 2010, but the name Ho Tram was still obscure. Since The Grand Ho Tram started, with the continuous investment process of adding and expanding service categories along with a methodical brand development strategy, the Ho Tram location has gradually attracted investors, creating a destination specializing in tourism - high-end resort real estate, leading Ba Ria-Vung Tau tourism to reach international standards.
In March 2008, Ho Tram Project Company Limited (HTP), the investor of The Grand Ho Tram project, was granted an investment certificate for the complex resort project in Phuoc Thuan and Bong Trang communes, Xuyen Moc district. Immediately after receiving the investment certificate, HTP started construction of the first item including a 5-star hotel tower with 541 rooms, casino, conference center, restaurant, spa, etc.
From 2020 to present, The Grand Ho Tram has won the title of Best Golf Resort in Asia 2021 voted by World Digest Magazine; Traveller's Choice Award - top choice of tourists voted by Tripadvisor website; World Golf Awards voted Best Golf Hotel in Asia 2022; The Bluffs golf course is continuously in the top 100 best golf courses in the world voted by Golf Digest Magazine; Best Luxury Golf Destination in Vietnam 2023 voted by Luxury Lifestyle Awards. |
In 2013, the project was completed and put into operation to welcome guests according to the standards of IHG - the world's largest luxury hotel & resort group - with the name The InterContinental Grand Ho Tram. Notably, the service complex includes a casino, a "money-making" business type in many world tourism capitals, putting Ba Ria-Vung Tau on the map of destinations with diverse types of entertainment in the world. Also in 2013, the 18-hole golf course The Bluffs - an important service item aimed at attracting international guests designed by golf legend Greng Norman (nicknamed "The White Shark") was also inaugurated.

At the end of 2021, the second 18-storey hotel tower was inaugurated under the Holiday Inn brand, adding 561 5-star rooms and self-contained amenities such as an outdoor park, children's play area, restaurant, bar, Game Zone, bowling alley, cinema... 2 years later - August 2023, another component project specializing in resorts - Ixora Ho Tram by Fusion with 5-star standards with 164 apartments, 46 villas and additional services for the family and group vacation segment was opened.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Thai, Vice President of HTP Business Development, shared that, including the time spent researching investment, HTP has been approaching Ba Ria-Vung Tau tourism for 20 years. There were times when it encountered both objective and subjective difficulties, but HTP continued to invest in committed projects and expand its service portfolio. This affirms the dedication and continuity of the investor, the management team and the collective of HTP employees in the effort to create new resources and new momentum for Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Vietnam tourism.
One destination - many experiences
The Grand Ho Tram always surprises with its rapid expansion of entertainment activities and its increasing upgrades in both scale and quality, extending the amenities and exciting surprise events right in the heart of the resort. From 2022 to now, The Grand Ho Tram has become the only complex resort in the country to organize a series of boxing tournaments gathering famous boxers from many countries, satisfying the "thirst" of fans with dramatic and attractive martial arts matches of continental class right in Vietnam.

In particular, in 2023, The Grand Ho Tram launched the brand identity “Quan Vui” (Vui Fest) with the red-crowned crane logo symbol, committed to a “coordinate” of unlimited experiences, fully cherishing emotions in age-appropriate forms of entertainment. Sometimes it is a carnival, horse racing on the beach, surfing, kite flying, concerts, sometimes it is a fashion event, golf competition, world-class beauty pageant…
According to General Director of The Grand Ho Tram Walt Power, the new 35ha subdivision is part of the overall project The Grand Ho Tram, which is expected to bring a breakthrough in the development of the resort real estate industry in Vietnam, creating a dynamic appearance of the new eastern super city of Ho Chi Minh City.
The total investment of The Grand Ho Tram project is 4.23 billion USD. Since 2019, Warburg Pincus (the world's leading growth investment fund with a total investment of 116 billion USD) and VinaCapital (managing more than 3.7 billion USD in assets and having a profound influence in the Asian market) have become the owners of The Grand Ho Tram with a joint venture called Lodgis Hospitality Holdings. The 35-hectare subdivision invested by Warburg Pincus Investment Fund is expected to own a complex of high-end facilities, including a 5-star hotel system and resort villas with more than 6,000 rooms, entertainment facilities, casino, comprehensive health care and treatment center, diverse sports and entertainment center, entertainment complex for children and families, international events and exhibitions center (MICE). When completed, the project will add more than 6,000 rooms, along with 1,500 5-star standard rooms currently in operation, bringing the total number of rooms in the entire resort to 7,500 rooms. Thus, with an expected investment of 1 billion USD from Warburg Pincus along with more than 1.5 billion USD previously invested, the total investment capital of The Grand Ho Tram will increase to more than 2.5 billion VND. |
“We believe in the potential of Ho Tram as a leading destination in the region, especially as we work closely with the government at all levels to develop new growth drivers, including an international-standard casino and entertainment model. The project demonstrates Warburg Pincus’s commitment to Vietnam’s economic growth, especially in the tourism and leisure sector,” said Walt Power.
