According to Vietnam Post Corporation, in just a short time, the two-level local government model will officially operate. Vietnam Post has prepared plans to accompany local governments, ensuring support for people to carry out administrative procedures stably, smoothly and effectively.
Specifically, from July 1, 2025, post offices of provinces and cities will coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments and commune-level authorities to arrange personnel to directly participate in support at commune-level public administrative service centers.
This is also the task set out in Official Dispatch No. 96/CD-TTg dated June 26, 2025 of the Prime Minister on focusing on completing, upgrading, and developing information systems to serve direction, administration, and serving people and businesses in the process of rearranging administrative units and implementing the two-level local government organization model.
Postal staff will participate in guiding people to carry out administrative procedures, support the reception, digitization of documents, and return of administrative procedure settlement results via the public postal network, contributing to improving efficiency, service quality, and saving resources for state agencies. At the same time, bringing practical benefits to people, shortening the time to carry out administrative procedures.
The participation of postal staff also helps reduce pressure on civil servants and public employees at the center to focus on professional work and perform State management tasks during the period of transforming the local government organization model.
"The arrangement of support personnel is being deployed synchronously by Vietnam Post at 100% of commune-level public administrative service centers and is ready to operate from July 1, 2025," said a representative of the corporation.
