Vu Ha before appearing in court
On October 28, the image of singer Vu Ha (real name Vu Ngoc Ha) appearing at the Hanoi People's Court attracted public attention. The male singer appeared in court because his name was on the list of 141 people brought to trial in the case of gambling and organizing gambling of more than 2,500 billion VND at King Club, Pullman Hotel.
According to the indictment, Vu Ha was accused of opening a card under the name "MR. BARET", gambling by playing Slots and Roulette with the amount of 2,618.16 USD (equivalent to more than 63 million VND), losing 199.34 USD.
The defendant was recommended to be given mitigating circumstances because of his participation in charity and social welfare activities. After the session, Vu Ha was released on bail. The male singer covered his face and actively avoided the camera lens.
Previously, the news that “a famous singer named VH” was arrested for gambling spread online, making Vu Ha the center of suspicion. At that time, the male singer remained silent on social media platforms.
Immediately after the image of Vu Ha at the trial was posted, social networks were flooded with comments, re-sharing a series of images of the male singer, from the stage, the times he "broke in" to explore Dam Vinh Hung's house, videos , images of the male singer dressed as a woman, accompanied by mocking comments.

In recent years, Vu Ha has almost stopped being active in music . He is often referred to by the audience as Dam Vinh Hung's best friend rather than singer Vu Ha.
The artist couple used to appear frequently on social networks with clips of daily life, trips, and comedy skits. Interviews about Vu Ha in the press also only revolved around the story of Dam Vinh Hung.
Vu Ha is also often "named" by the press for a series of arrogant and shocking statements. When the controversy over bolero broke out, the male singer indirectly criticized contemporary folk music. "Singers who sing contemporary music always have a style that is not like other people. If they dress differently, they cannot sing that type of music. Sometimes they have to close their eyes and sing incoherently, repeating a sentence 10 times for fear that the audience will not understand," the male singer said in a video.
Vu Ha also caused shock when he said "this type of music is suitable for funerals, the singer stands in front of the microphone like a blind person". The audience thought that Vu Ha was indirectly criticizing Tung Duong, after the male divo said "the whole country gathered to listen to bolero".
The audience at that time thought they didn't care who criticized who, however Vu Ha's disparaging of an entire music genre was tit for tat, causing hatred among artists.
After being criticized many times by the audience, Vu Ha also gradually limited his statements on social networks.

How famous was Vu Ha?
Vu Ha was once one of the famous faces of the Blue Wave music generation in the late 1990s. Born in 1968 in Ho Chi Minh City, he started his career as a lounge singer, then had the opportunity to break through with songs with cheerful melodies and foreign songs with Vietnamese lyrics.
He is associated with many songs with vibrant melodies such as Chao Miao Doll , Cha Cha Cha Deer Eyes , Frozen Heart , Men's Tears , Miyahee Lover , Passionate Mambo ...
His music has a cheerful spirit, completely different from the popular Vpop trend at that time. There was a time when Vu Ha's music covered the shops and the CD market.
In an interview, Vu Ha said he was most confident with three songs : Chao Miao Doll , Frozen Heart , and Men's Tears.

The golden time was equivalent to 5 million VND/tael, singer's salary was 10 million VND/night. He also said that there was a time when he received a salary of up to 30 million VND. "Well, I console myself that I had a shining time, a golden time," Vu Ha said.
The male singer also shared about his golden period, there were times when he performed 3 shows/night when he was singing in the provinces. "Every month I performed 28 days, I used all the money to buy gold. Every week I bought gold, had to have a suitcase to put the gold in, and bring it home to my wife at the end of the month," Vu Ha once shared.
After a period of living a healthy life as a singer, he admitted that he was not persistent enough to maintain his position, so he "went into fame for a while and then disappeared, not taking care of himself, not building his image". The male singer also said that he did not pay attention to the criticism on social networks.
"Living in showbiz, you have to accept that you will be involved in scandals, more or less. Just consider it water under the bridge," the male singer shared in an interview.
In addition to his music career and the noise surrounding it, Vu Ha's love life has attracted the attention of the audience, especially after he publicly announced his wife, Huyen Van, who is 8 years older than him. Although they have no children together, their marriage has lasted for nearly three decades. Vu Ha once said: "She is the person I owe my whole life to. If it weren't for Van, I probably wouldn't have survived until now."
