Women's Union at all levels actively participates in overcoming consequences after storms and floods

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Heavy rains caused by storm No. 3 have caused many localities and residential areas to be flooded, trees to fall, houses and livestock farms to be affected. On the morning of July 23, when the water began to recede, the Women's Union at all levels in the province coordinated with other forces in the province to urgently overcome the consequences caused by the storm.

On the morning of July 23, the Thanh Xuan village women's association, together with the people and the commune military command, supported a member's family to temporarily repair the house affected by the landslide.

According to the quick report of the Women's Unions of communes/wards, the Union has coordinated with forces, organizations and people to clear the flow, support flooded households to enter houses and barns; clean up, rearrange furniture and equipment, transport livestock (pigs, chickens, cattle) into barns; proactively help the elderly and single-parent households in degraded housing areas; visit and encourage families who suffered losses in life and property due to storms; participate in inspection teams at key points, and put up warning signs in dangerous areas to prevent floodwaters from coming.

The Women's Union of Luu Ve commune called on cadres, female members and benefactors to support funeral expenses for members affected by storms.

Women's Union officials and organizations visited and encouraged members' families after the storm.
