According to The Sun, a man named David Gorton in the coastal town of Margate, southern England, decided to renovate his old pub. David's pub is called Old Cottage, which is actually an ancient house built in 1650. It has also been granted a Grade II conservation certificate by the local government because of its historical value.

During the renovation, the man used a vacuum cleaner to clean the shop. However, this action accidentally helped David find a rare treasure right under the floor. While vacuuming, David heard the sound of metal clanging.
He then emptied the machine of dust and was surprised to find an ancient coin inside. It was an ancient coin bearing the image of the famous politician Oliver Cromwell dating from 1658. This is a rare item from the 17th century. Currently, this coin is worth up to 12,500 pounds (more than 375 million VND).

Not only did he find this rare coin, David also shared that inside the store there was a fireplace built in the 17th century. There, he found some stone cannons dating back to the 1600s.
Currently, these antiques have been sent for appraisal. Archaeological experts believe that they are likely to be of considerable value.
