Nghe An possesses diverse terrain from high mountains, plains, midlands to an 82 km long coastline with many beautiful beaches, nature reserves... The beauty of this land is passed down in the folk song: "Green mountains and blue water like a picture".

What season is beautiful in Nghe An?

Nghe An has four distinct seasons. Spring is cool and warm with an average temperature of 22-29 degrees Celsius (January-March); summer is hot and sunny, 33-38 degrees Celsius (April-June); autumn is chilly and rainy, 22-28 degrees Celsius; winter is windy and cold, 17-20 degrees Celsius (October-December).
If you want to go on a vacation and swim in the sea, the best time to visit is summer. If you want to visit, participate in festivals, go hiking... come in spring and autumn. If you want to hunt for flowers, come in the sunflower season from December to near Lunar New Year. At this time, the whole flower field blooms in a brilliant yellow color to get the most beautiful photos.

Move

Nghe An is located in the center of North Central Vietnam, 290km from Hanoi and 1,400km from Ho Chi Minh City. Tourists can visit by road such as bus, private car or motorbike.
Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Khanh Hoa, Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, Da Nang have flights to Vinh. There are also international flights to and from Bangkok, Thailand. Airlines flying to Vinh are Vietnam Airlines , Bamboo Airways or Vietjet. Flight time is from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the route chosen by the customer.
Tourists can also take the train to Vinh. The fastest train from Hanoi to Vinh takes 5 hours and 30 minutes, from Da Nang to Vinh takes 9 hours, and from Ho Chi Minh City takes more than a day. The train journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh is usually for those who have plenty of time and want to see the scenery along the length of the country.

Accommodation

Nghe An has many 3 to 5 star accommodations such as Vinpearl Cua Hoi, Muong Thanh hotel system, Saigon Kim Lien, Summer... Prices of these hotels range from about 1,000,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND per night.
Some suggested hotels are Hai Dang, Xanh, Tien Anh, Thai Binh Duong... in Cua Lo; Lam Hong, Beijing... in Vinh City. Room rates start from 400,000 VND per night. In addition, when coming to Nghi Loc district, visitors can stay at Bai Lu Resort. This is a place with fresh, cool air. You can swim in the sea, walk along the pine forests to watch the sunrise at Bai Lu Heaven Gate, or meditate and light an incense stick at the Shakyamuni Buddha Statue...

Where to play

Nghe An is the largest province in Vietnam, with an area of ​​over 16,400 square kilometers. Therefore, to visit all the places, you may need a week. However, visitors can choose destinations that are close to each other for convenience. If you only want to go swimming, the ideal time is three days and two nights.
President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area
This is the place that most tourists visit when coming to Nghe An, located in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, 13km from Vinh city, following National Highway 46. The relic site includes the paternal and maternal hometowns of President Ho Chi Minh and the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, President Ho Chi Minh's mother. This place preserves relics and artifacts associated with the hometown, family, and childhood of President Ho Chi Minh.
Chung Son Temple
This is the ancestral temple of President Ho Chi Minh, located halfway up Chung Mountain - a land of talented people, the pride of the people of Kim Lien. The temple was built in harmony with the overall landscape and architectural space of the Kim Lien Special National Monument.
Not only is it a work of cultural and spiritual value, Chung Son Temple is also a highlight in the journey to visit President Ho Chi Minh's hometown because Chung Mountain is a sacred land, ranked as a national historical relic in 1991.

Square and statue of President Ho Chi Minh
Located in the center of Vinh City, this place was built in 2000 and inaugurated on May 19, 2003. The statue of President Ho Chi Minh is made of Binh Dinh granite, 18 m high, weighs 150 tons, and is located in the middle of the 11-hectare square named after President Ho Chi Minh.
Milestone Km 0
Milestone 0 in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, Nghe An province is the starting point of the Truong Son road - the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail supporting the southern battlefield. The milestone has been renovated, the campus has an area of ​​600 m2 with a traditional house displaying wartime artifacts.

Temple of Ong Hoang Muoi
The temple and tomb of Mr. Hoang Muoi are in Xuan Am village, Hung Thinh commune, Hung Nguyen district, about 3km from Vinh city center. This place worships Mr. Hoang Muoi - Thai uy Vi Quoc Cong, a famous general of the Le dynasty, originally from Nghe An. About 100m to the east of the temple is the tomb of Duc Ong, this is the unique feature that only Duc Ong Hoang Muoi temple in Nghe An has. According to records, the temple was built in 1634, from the post-Le dynasty. Over time, the temple was destroyed. In 1995, the temple was rebuilt and is now a famous cultural, religious and spiritual center of Nghe An province. Other spiritual tourist destinations in Nghe An are Qua Son temple, Bach Ma temple, Chin Gian temple, Cuong temple, the temple and tomb of King Mai Hac De, Co Am pagoda, Dai Tue pagoda.

Thanh Chuong Tea Island
Located in Thanh An commune, Thanh Chuong district, 60km from Vinh city and 200m from Ho Chi Minh road is Thanh Chuong tea island. This is a famous check-in spot, attracting many tourists to visit.
The island is about 80 hectares wide with dozens of small "oases" lying close together, reflecting on the lake. This place is also known as "Ha Long on land". Visitors to the island do not need to buy an entrance ticket, but need to buy a ticket for the motorboat (15,000 VND one way). On the islands there are cafes where visitors can eat local snacks and drink sugarcane juice for 15,000 VND a cup.
Pu Mat National Park
About 130km west of Vinh City is Pu Mat National Park. Visitors can get here by three routes: National Highway 7, 15 or Ho Chi Minh Road. Located in the world biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO in 2007, this is a natural reserve with rich flora and fauna. Visitors can immerse themselves in the space of wild nature, go boating on the river, visit Pha Lai Dam, Khe Kem Waterfall, enjoy local cuisine such as Giang River cool fish, bamboo rice...

Western Nghe An Community Tourism Site
Near Pu Mat National Park is Con Cuong town - a place known to tourists as a highlight of community ecotourism in the western region of Nghe An. Coming here, you can rest, live at local people's houses, listen to folk songs, drink rice wine, and eat Thai specialties. Pha Lai Eco-tourism Area With an area of ​​nearly 10 hectares, Pha Lai Eco-tourism Area is located on the Giang River, about 120 km from Vinh City. Coming to Pha Lai, you can kayak down the Giang River, or enjoy the scenery on a motorboat, or zipline connecting the two banks of the river. Regarding cuisine, don't forget to eat the specialties of the Thai people, associated with the famous saying "Muong Qua Rice, Giang River Fish". If you come to Pha Lai Dam on a sunny day, this is probably a unique "virtual living" spot worth your time. However, the sunset here should not be missed.

Cua Lo Beach
16km east of Vinh City is Cua Lo Beach. This place is considered to have an ideal space for activities such as swimming, playing volleyball, playing golf, rowing basket boats to go squid fishing at night. There are many high-class resorts around this area as well as beautiful photo spots. One of them is the infinity pool at Summer Hotel, Lan Chau Island's rocky beach... Visitors should not miss the seafood at the seafood restaurants on Binh Minh coastal road, eating the famous jumping squid dish.

Dien Thanh Beach The beach is located right next to National Highway 1A, 40 km from Vinh City. Dien Thanh Beach has emerald green water all year round, gently sloping yellow sand, gentle waves, and shallow water. Sometimes, wading a hundred meters is only as deep as an adult's waist. The beach always has a peaceful look, not as noisy as other beach tourist destinations. This is considered one of the wild lands, loved by many people.
Quynh Beach 80km north of Vinh City, Quynh Beach belongs to Quynh Luu District and Hoang Mai Town. Quynh Beach is not actually the name of a beach but refers to 7 adjacent beaches: Quynh Phuong, Quynh Lien, Quynh Bang, Quynh Luong, Quynh Minh, Quynh Nghia and Tien Thuy. From Hanoi, you will arrive at the first beach, Quynh Phuong. This beach is famous for its delicious, fresh food and affordable prices. If you are a spiritual person, you can come here to worship at Con Temple - one of the four most sacred temples in Nghe An: "First Con, second Qua, Bach Ma, Chieu Trung". The best time to go is from May to August. In addition to swimming at Quynh Beach, adventurous tourists can visit Dragon Eye Cave and admire the beauty of the stalactites and the massive cave system that nature has bestowed on this windy and sunny land.

Sunflower field
The 100-hectare sunflower field is located at Farm 19-5, Nghia Son Commune, Nghia Dan District, 95km from Vinh City. Visitors can enjoy and take pictures of the bright yellow flower fields, stretching endlessly in March-April and November-December. The Sunflower Festival is held every December. In addition, you can visit the nearby dairy farm. If you want to check-in with flowers, another suggestion for you is Phu Quy flower valley located next to Ho Chi Minh road, in Nghia Long Commune, Nghia Dan District.

Tourists can stop by to eat eel porridge in Vinh city, at Mai Hac De street or Doc Thiet street. To eat seafood, tourists should visit Cua Lo, Quynh beach. Other famous specialties include gio me, Cau Don goat, Hung Chau crab, Thanh Chuong chicken, Thanh Chuong pickled shrimp, fish sauce, Nam Dan soy sauce, Dien Chau banh muot, Do Luong rice paper, medicinal tea, Vinh oranges, cu do candy... Cool tea is a specialty of the mountainous district of Quy Hop, the northwest tip of Nghe An.
