Need to ensure environmental sanitation in Da Nhay beach area

Right next to the sign: “Dan Da Beach, 100m” are many types of waste, such as: plastic bottles, nylon bags, beer cans, styrofoam boxes... And along the road leading to the beautiful beach are still images of many large and small piles of garbage and nylon bags scattered around. It is easy to see that these types of waste are the ones that tourists “forget” after visiting the scenic spot.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan ( Hanoi capital), shared: “Two years ago, when I came to Quang Binh, I visited Da Nhay beach. We were very impressed by the beauty of the beach area right at the foot of the pass, where many strangely shaped rocks create a very unique landscape. This year, I just passed by and did not stop by, but a few hundred meters north of the old location, where there is a signpost next to the roadside, I was very surprised because this place was dirty and full of garbage. Da Nhay is a very beautiful beach, I hope that Quang Binh province and tourists will preserve the pristine beauty and fresh air of the famous landscape, worthy of being the pride of the locality and so that visitors who have been there once will want to come back”.

Compared to the beach right at the foot of Ly Hoa Pass, this area is quite deserted, occasionally there are only a few family cars stopping to visit and take pictures and then leave. This situation has lasted for many months now and even in the preparation for the peak tourist season in general, the April 30 and May 1 holidays in particular, this area seems to be "forgotten". During the holidays and the first days of May, the peak of the tourist season, we encountered some tourists stopping and admiring the beauty of the beach but could not help but shake their heads in disappointment because of the garbage and sloppiness. It is worth mentioning that not only the beach, but also in the area, along National Highway 1, there are spontaneous garbage dumps. And these garbage dumps are very close to restaurants, eateries...

To promote the value of the scenic spot, it is necessary to have drastic measures and close coordination between relevant parties in managing and exploiting this tourist spot in a sustainable manner, associated with environmental protection. In particular, it is necessary to promote propaganda work, raise awareness and responsibility for people and communities about environmental protection and tourism development; promote the role of mass organizations, including union members and youth with practical, focused and effective actions, contributing to preserving the beauty of the homeland's scenic spot in general, Da Nhay in particular, to truly "hold on" tourists when coming to Quang Binh .
