In particular, the entire welcome gate and ticket office area collapsed; the OCOP product display house had its entire tiled roof and rolling doors removed; many public restrooms had their roofs blown off; more than 50 trees fell down, and many pillars and propaganda billboards were severely damaged...

Not only the public items of the tourist area, many projects of enterprises and business households in the tourist area such as: Huong Pagoda boat dock, the reception house of Thanh Sen Tourism Joint Stock Company... also suffer the same fate.

After the storm, the KDL staff and workers made efforts to clean up and sanitize the environment, but due to the extensive damage, lack of human resources and funding, many items are still in a "disrepair" state, seriously affecting the appearance and activities of welcoming guests.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Quynh - a business owner at Huong Tich Pagoda tourist area expressed: "These days, visitors from the northern provinces and cities have started to make pilgrimages to the pagoda. Normally, from the beginning of the 10th lunar month, the number of visitors from Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Hanoi ... will be very crowded. But now, after storm No. 10, many constructions and items have not been repaired. That not only affects the quality of service for tourists but also makes the image of "Hoan Chau first famous landscape" lose points in the eyes of friends near and far."

The public restroom area next to the square of Huong Tich Pagoda tourist area had its roof blown off and has not been repaired yet.

According to Ms. Hoang Thi Binh - the officer in charge of management at Huong Tich Pagoda tourist area, the damage caused by storm No. 10 is estimated at about 985 million VND.

“We have sent a detailed report to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and requested financial support to promptly repair damaged items, ensuring smooth tourism activities. However, up to now, we have not been allocated any resources. The spiritual and cultural tourism season is approaching, we really hope to have the attention and support of all levels, sectors and localities to renovate the tourist area and welcome visitors more thoughtfully,” Ms. Binh shared.
