Bustling Ha Tinh labor market
In recent years, many people from Ha Tinh who used to work in the southern provinces or were exported as laborers have decided to return to their hometown to start a business. They bring with them their experience, industrial style and aspiration to build their hometown. Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen (Toan Luu commune) is one of them. After more than 10 years working as a worker in the old Binh Duong , she chose to return to Ha Tinh to work. "Returning to her hometown not only gives her a suitable job but also allows her to be close to her family. The income is not too different from when working far away, and she can live in a familiar environment," Ms. Yen shared.
According to statistics, the whole province currently has more than 21,700 workers working in enterprises inside and outside the economic zone; Vung Ang Economic Zone alone has attracted more than 11,000 people. Along with the development of industry and services, Ha Tinh labor market is becoming more vibrant than ever.
Nam Ha Tinh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Vung Ang I Industrial Park, Vung Ang Ward) is a typical example. After investing in a modern processing line, the unit is in need of hundreds of workers to meet production plans for export. Mr. Pham Van Tuc - General Director of Nam Ha Tinh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company said: "The enterprise is in great need of stable workers with awareness and responsibility. We are ready to offer good treatment policies to attract and retain workers for a long time."

Not only large factories in Vung Ang Economic Zone, many enterprises in industrial clusters and craft villages are also in need of thousands of workers in many different positions. Notably, most enterprises have stable recruitment needs and increasingly better treatment regimes to attract and retain workers.
In the context of factories continuously expanding production, the need for technical workers and highly skilled workers is becoming an urgent issue. At Appareltech Duc Tho Export Garment Company Limited, although having more than 1,400 workers, the company still needs to recruit more than 200 workers to meet export orders.
Mr. Kwon Soon Cheol – General Director of the Company shared: “Our biggest difficulty now is the lack of skilled labor. Although the working environment is good and the income is stable, recruitment is still slower than production demand.”

Not only the garment industry, many other industries in Ha Tinh are also facing difficulties in recruiting workers, especially skilled and highly qualified workers. Mr. Phan Xuan Hong - Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Business Association said: "The demand for labor recruitment is currently increasing sharply, but there is still a shortage of highly skilled human resources, specialized skills and industrial style. Attracting quality human resources, especially in the fields of engineering, mechanics, electricity and electronics, is a big challenge for businesses."
High quality human resources – the driving force for sustainable growth
Identifying the development of high-quality human resources as a key driving force to increase competitiveness, attract investment and promote sustainable economic growth, Ha Tinh has been implementing many synchronous solutions to improve the quality of human resources. In the period of 2022 - 2025, the Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 70 stipulating a number of policies to support vocational training and job creation in the area and Resolution No. 115 amending and supplementing a number of contents to suit practical requirements. These policies have helped thousands of workers to be trained and change jobs appropriately, especially in the fields of engineering, mechanics, electricity and electronics. According to statistics, since the beginning of the year, the whole province has created jobs for more than 19,600 people, an increase of 6.8% over the same period in 2024. The number of workers arranged for jobs in the province has increased by nearly 27%.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Acting Chief of Ha Tinh Statistics said: "The province's labor market is changing positively, especially in the industrial and service sectors. Many workers after being trained have found stable jobs right in their hometown."

A high-quality workforce is not only a valuable asset, but also a key driving force for growth, technological innovation and improving the province's competitiveness. Conversely, economic development, expanding industrial and service projects and attractive career opportunities will continue to attract workers, creating a positive cycle: economic development leads to quality labor, quality labor promotes economic development.
Mr. Dao Quang Hung - Head of the Department of Labor - Employment, Ha Tinh Department of Home Affairs said: "To improve the efficiency of connecting labor supply and demand, the department has proposed that the province invest in upgrading the job exchange in a modern direction, applying digital technology in management and data sharing. At the same time, continue to implement training and development programs for workers and local authorities to improve skills and labor management capacity. The department will also propose that the province issue a number of new mechanisms after the current resolutions expire."
Attracting and retaining workers is not only the task of enterprises, but also the long-term development strategy of the province. When workers – both from their hometown and from other localities – choose Ha Tinh to settle down, the province also affirms the attractiveness of a land that is changing strongly, where people, jobs and economic development go hand in hand sustainably.
