On July 28, at Can Tho University, the People's Committee of Can Tho City organized the National Day for National Security Protection (ANTQ), evaluating the results of 20 years of organizing the festival in the area (2005 - 2025).

According to Can Tho City Police, over the past 20 years, the National Day for National Security Protection has promoted the strength of the entire political system in the task of protecting national security, public order and safety. Up to now, the festival has truly come to life.

The forum "Police listen to people's opinions" has been held 926 times with more than 93,000 participants, recording more than 14,000 comments from the people. Can Tho City Police is also implementing 96 skillful mass mobilization models and 129 effective models of the mass movement to protect national security.

Looking back 20 years, the National Day for National Security Protection is also closely linked with other campaigns and emulation movements in the locality, such as building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, sustainable poverty reduction... In addition, it has made its mark on the coordination of organizing meaningful and humane social security programs. Notably, 10,000 solidarity houses have been built and repaired; 3,000 houses of love and camaraderie have been built; and thousands of gifts have been given to families of policy beneficiaries, released prisoners, prisoners on probation, and reformed prisoners...

Notably, by July 1, the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level (hamlets, areas) in Can Tho City increased to 1,888 groups with 6,784 members. Of which, Can Tho (old) had 599 groups with 2,796 members, Hau Giang (old) had 525 groups with 1,715 members, Soc Trang (old) had 764 groups with 2,273 members. The development and coverage of this force will increase public awareness of crime prevention in the coming time.

Because this is the core force in the movement of the whole people to protect national security, actively supporting the commune-level police in performing many functions and tasks such as grasping the situation of national security and order, fire prevention and fighting, administrative management of social order... At the same time, coordinating with local authorities to promptly resolve conflicts arising among the people, not allowing the formation of hot spots that affect national security and order.
