Thereby, turning the province's tourism potentials into attractive products for tourists; at the same time, supporting tourism business investors in the orientation of building typical tourism products of the province, contributing to the tourism industry making positive contributions to socio-economic development.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh informed about some results on tourism product development in the province.
The implementation process of the Planning always ensures consistency with development perspectives, especially with innovative and breakthrough perspectives, which are always integrated into development orientations and solutions.
In recent times, the province's tourism has developed and achieved certain encouraging results, attracting more and more domestic and foreign visitors. In 2021, the province welcomed more than 244,100 visitors; in 2022, nearly 650,000 visitors and in 2023, more than 1 million visitors. The average growth rate in the period 2021-2023 reached 69% and reached 55% compared to the plan.
Long An has a lot of potential for tourism development but up to now there are still no specific tourism products typical of the province.
In terms of revenue, in 2021, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the province's tourism revenue dropped severely, reaching only 182.7 billion VND.
By 2022, the provincial tourism sector had promptly implemented measures to stimulate demand and restore tourism activities from the beginning of the year, so the number of tourists had basically recovered, with tourism revenue reaching VND 344.4 billion. In 2023, the province's tourism revenue reached VND 560 billion. The average growth rate in the 2021-2023 period reached 76% per year and reached 30% compared to the plan.
Delegates in the delegation proposed that the Department continue to have solutions to develop tourism.
Besides the achieved results, in the process of implementing the Plan, there are still limitations and shortcomings such as low tourism competitiveness and little change; the development process still has potential unsustainability factors.
Although the tourism industry has made many innovations in recent times, tourism products are not yet diverse, mainly exploiting natural tourism potentials and existing historical and cultural relics, lacking specificity, not bearing the province's own identity, and not having its own tourism brands.
At the monitoring session, members of the delegation suggested that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should have solutions to build, promote and develop the tourism industry, especially building tourism products with specific characteristics of the province, overcoming existing limitations so that the provincial tourism industry can develop according to the tourism development plan in the province, period 2021 - 2023.
