Emergency flood warning (exceptionally large) on Ba River - Dak Lak

On the afternoon of November 19, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicted an emergency flood (especially large) on the Ba River - Dak Lak; along with an emergency flood on the Kon River (Gia Lai) and floods on the Thu Bon River (Da Nang City), Tra Khuc River (Quang Ngai) and Krong Ana River (Dak Lak).

Accordingly, in the next 10 hours, flood on Ba River at Phu Lam station will continue to rise and be above alarm level 3 - exceeding the historical flood level in 1993 by 5.21m; flood on Kon River will continue to rise and be above alarm level 3; flood on Krong Ana River will continue to rise and be above alarm level 2; flood on Tra Khuc River and Thu Bon River will fluctuate above alarm level 2.

In the next 10 - 24 hours, floods on Kon River and Ba River will fluctuate at a very high level and above BĐ3; Krông Ana River will continue to rise and be above BĐ2; floods on Thu Bon River and Tra Khuc River will gradually decrease and be below BĐ1 to above BĐ1.

Warning, in the next 24 hours, flood on Huong River, Bo River, Vu Gia River, Srepok River will fluctuate at level 1-2 and above level 2; other rivers in Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will continue to rise and at level 2-3, some rivers above level 3.

Widespread flooding occurred in provinces/cities from Hue city to Khanh Hoa . There is a high risk of flash floods on rivers and streams and landslides on slopes in provinces/cities from Hue city to Khanh Hoa.

On land, in the evening and night of November 19, cold air continues to affect other places in the South Central region. On land, strong northeast winds of level 3-4, coastal areas of level 4-5, in some places level 6, gusting to level 7.

Affected by the cold air, the temperature in the Northern region ranges from 11-14 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 5 degrees Celsius; North Central region 12-15 degrees Celsius; Quang Tri and Hue City 16-19 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi area, it is not raining but cold. The lowest temperature is commonly 12-14 degrees Celsius, the highest is 19-21 degrees Celsius. Northeast wind level 2-3.

In the Northwest, the lowest temperature is 11-14 degrees Celsius, some places below 8 degrees Celsius; the highest is 18-21 degrees Celsius. Cloudy, with rain in some places; in the afternoon, the clouds decrease and the sun comes out. Light wind. Cold, some places are very cold.

In the Northeast region, the lowest temperature is 11-14 degrees Celsius, in some mountainous areas it is below 5 degrees Celsius; the highest is 18-21 degrees Celsius. In the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue City, the lowest temperature in the North is 12-15 degrees Celsius, in the South is 16-19 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature is 17-20 degrees Celsius, some places are over 20 degrees Celsius. There is rain in some places in the North, rain in the South, some places have moderate rain. In the South, the lowest temperature is 22-25 degrees Celsius; the highest is 29-32 degrees Celsius, some places above 32 degrees Celsius. Cloudy; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain. Northeast wind level 2-3. Warning of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind in thunderstorms.

Ho Chi Minh City: lowest temperature 23-25 ​​degrees Celsius; highest 31-33 degrees Celsius. Cloudy; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain. Northeast wind level 2-3. Warning of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts.
