(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has just signed Official Dispatch No. 222/CD-TTg dated November 19, 2025 of the Prime Minister on focusing on responding to exceptionally large floods on the Ba River (Dak Lak) and emergency floods on the Kon River (Gia Lai).

Currently, the flood situation in Gia Lai , Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces is very complicated. According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the flood on the Kon River continues to rise and is above BĐ3, the Ba River at Phu Lam station continues to rise and is above BĐ3 and equal to the historical flood level of 1993.

To proactively prevent, avoid and respond to exceptionally large floods and emergency floods to ensure the safety of people's lives and minimize property damage, the Prime Minister requests the Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above-mentioned provinces and the Ministries and branches to continue to focus on drastic and effective implementation according to the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatches No. 217/CD-TTg, 218/CD-TTg, 219/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister, in which urgently carry out the following urgent tasks:

By all means, immediately approach deeply flooded and isolated residential areas to promptly evacuate to safety.

3. Proactively direct the safe operation of hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs to ensure effective flood reduction and reduction for downstream areas, and absolutely prevent dam safety incidents.

Remotely coordinate traffic to divert traffic, not allowing people to enter flooded and landslide areas.

4. Increase forces to control, support, guide, and remotely coordinate traffic to divert traffic, resolutely not allowing people and vehicles to enter deeply flooded and landslide areas.

5. Closely monitor the developments of especially heavy rains and floods and emergency floods; promptly inform authorities at all levels and people to proactively prevent and avoid them to the highest possible extent.

6. Ministers of the Ministries of National Defense and Finance shall promptly provide means and equipment upon request of localities to support overcoming consequences when requested by localities.

7. Ministries and branches, according to their functions, tasks and authority, proactively coordinate with localities to direct competent agencies to deploy work to prevent, combat and respond to especially heavy rains and floods, and limit damage.

8. Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam News Agency increase the time and promptly provide information on natural disaster situations and response direction of functional agencies.

9. The Government Office monitors and urges ministries and localities to seriously implement this Official Dispatch; promptly reports to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister in charge on urgent and arising issues./.
