The two tourists were: Lisa (19 years old, Dutch nationality) and Khuong Van Nguyen (25 years old, from Thanh Hoa ). At that time, both of them were unable to get down the mountain by themselves.
At this time, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 3 mobilized a fire truck and 6 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene to organize rescue.
After moving to Dam Mon village, the rescue team continued to move by local fishing boats to Co Ong mountain.
Due to the complex terrain, at 4:55 p.m., rescue forces found 2 tourists and brought them down the mountain safely.
At this time, the female tourist was exhausted, had a stomachache, and was unable to move on her own; the male victim was in stable health. Both were later transferred to the mainland.
