According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, all forces were mobilized to the maximum, divided into shifts to be on duty 24/7 at intersections, underpasses, and low-lying areas. Mobile working groups also directly assisted people in pushing their vehicles through flooded areas, rescuing those stuck in the water, and helping people move safely.
Speaking to reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Cong Manh, Deputy Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 11, said: The unit has proactively deployed plans to be on duty with 100% of its personnel, arranging forces at key routes and intersections. As of 10 a.m. the same day, at some points such as the underpass and the road along Thang Long Avenue - although there was flooding, traffic was smooth, there was no congestion; officers and soldiers of the team promptly diverted traffic, regulated and guided people to move safely. The unit is increasing patrols along the entire route, preventing incidents of falling trees in bad weather conditions; promptly supporting people and handling other arising situations.
