High competition in 10th grade entrance exam for Natural Science Specialized School

According to data released by the Training Department of the University of Natural Sciences after the registration deadline, there were 3,000 applications for admission to grade 10 of the High School for Natural Sciences in the 2025-2026 school year.

Among the application files, there are 2,773 applications for the first choice and 227 applications for the second choice. The highest number of applications is in the IT specialized block. The specific number of applications for each specialized block is as follows:

The High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, under the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in the 2025-2026 school year, will enroll a total of 525 students for 5 specialized groups in grade 10: Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; each specialized group will accept 105 students.

It can be seen that the competition is high when the number of candidates registering in all specialized blocks of the School is many times higher than the quota, in which, the strongest is in Informatics; followed by Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
