NDO - On the afternoon of May 8, in Hanoi, K Hospital (Ministry of Health) celebrated International Nurses Day 2025 with the message: "Our nurses - Our future. Taking care of everyone's health is also increasing economic efficiency".

This is an occasion to honor the noble contributions and tireless efforts of the nursing team - the silent "warriors" in the journey of caring for and protecting people's health. At the same time, to raise awareness among medical staff, patients and the community about the role and position of the nursing profession in the health system.

According to Deputy Director of K Hospital, Dr. Do Anh Tu, May 12 is chosen as International Nurses Day every year to commemorate the contributions of Florence Nightingale - the founder of modern nursing. She is a symbol of compassion, sacrifice and selfless service to the sick.

In particular, the love and empathy of the nursing team has turned painful moments into hope, worries and fears into comfort, and difficult days into a journey of life and humanity. That has helped the nursing team overcome difficulties and hardships to always maintain the flame of enthusiasm for the profession.

Sharing about her work, Master, Head Nurse of the Department of Musculoskeletal Surgery (K Hospital) Nguyen Thi Thuy said, after nearly 30 years of working in the nursing profession, I have personally experienced that: "Patients are the measure of the compassion and perseverance of nurses. Only dedication, love for patients, and appreciation from colleagues can help me stick with the nursing profession, motivate me to strive, be passionate about the profession, and inspire others when they first enter the nursing profession."

Although I often face challenges and difficulties at work such as psychological pressure, working time pressure, emergency surgeries, overnight resuscitation, especially cases that require 24/7 monitoring. Especially, facing the risk of infection when the Covid-19 pandemic is raging, my colleagues and I always put the safety of patients first.
