Dak Lak: Many establishments selling medicinal herbs, cosmetics, and smuggled goods discovered

The Dak Lak Province Market Management Department conducted a surprise inspection and discovered many establishments selling medicinal herbs, cosmetics, and goods of unknown origin.

On May 29, the Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade said that market management forces had just discovered and handled three cases of trading in floating goods without invoices proving their origin.

Accordingly, on May 28, the Inspection Team of Market Management Team No. 4 under the Market Management Department of Dak Lak province conducted a surprise inspection at a business location in Thien An ward, Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province. The inspection team discovered that nearly 1 ton of various onions and garlic were being traded here. At the time of the inspection, the owner of the establishment could not present any documents or papers proving the origin of all the above goods.

Market management forces discovered nearly 1 ton of goods and garlic without invoices or origin in Buon Ho town.

Also on May 28, the Inspection Team of the Mobile E-commerce Market Management Team under the Market Management Force of Dak Lak province conducted a surprise inspection of a cosmetics business operating mainly on social networking platforms located in Tan Thanh ward, Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak province). At the time of the inspection, the inspection team discovered and seized more than 2,000 cosmetic products of various types of unknown origin. The business owner could not present invoices, origin, and source of the products. The total value of the goods was over 80 million VND.

Previously, the Inspection Team of Market Management Team No. 1 also conducted a surprise inspection of Vinh Thoa Medicinal Materials Company Limited on Le Thanh Tong Street, Thanh Cong Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City. Thereby, the inspection team found 500kg of medicinal materials, including many types such as: sensitive plant, mint, cot khi, plantain, milkweed, star anise, huy thiem... with no origin or source listed on the product.

Working with the inspection team, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Chairman of the company admitted that he bought all of the above goods from a person with an unknown name and address, so there were no documents to prove their origin, and then sold them on the market to make a profit.
