Emergency aid for victims of school bus accident in Gia Lai

On April 22, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health issued a quick report on the situation of the victims in the student bus accident in Binh Giao Commune, Chu Prong District that morning.

According to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health, immediately after receiving information about the accident, the Department of Health's leaders directed functional departments to immediately go to hospitals to obtain information about the victims.

At the same time, direct Chu Prong District Medical Center, Provincial General Hospital, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital to urgently receive emergency aid and treat the victims.

The Department of Health requires units to concentrate human resources, ensure adequate medicine, medical equipment, and consumables to focus on receiving emergency aid and treating traffic accident victims.

As of noon on April 22, 21 people were injured in the accident, including 20 students and 1 driver. All patients were given emergency care and treatment at medical facilities in the province.

Specifically, Gia Lai General Hospital received emergency treatment and treated 3 patients who were students: HNN, cervical spine injury; NK, right shoulder injury; NTP, chest injury. The health condition of the 3 patients is stable.

At the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai, 3 patients were admitted for emergency treatment, including: PAĐ., PHNT, PNQ. Of which, 1 patient was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, multiple injuries, 1 patient had a broken collarbone, closed chest and abdominal trauma, and 1 patient had a complex wound in the arm area.

The remaining 15 victims were admitted to Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital for emergency treatment, including the driver. Currently, 6 patients are hospitalized for further monitoring and treatment, and 9 patients are being monitored in the emergency department.
