Previously, on the first day of competition (May 27), Trung Hoa and My Trang won the Silver Medal in Latin D Category and the Bronze Medal in Latin C Category – Middle Age 2.
This impressive achievement is even more meaningful when on May 3, the couple also entered the Top 30 best Latin dance couples in the world in the middle-aged group - a testament to the efforts and constantly improving professional level of Vietnamese dancesport athletes in the international arena.
Sharing from Taipei (Taiwan, China), athlete Nguyen My Trang emotionally said: “We are extremely surprised and proud of this achievement. This is the first time we have stood on the highest podium of glory at a global arena. I am very moved and want to share this joy and pride with everyone, especially those who are middle-aged and elderly. For me, participating in the Middle Age Games is a valuable opportunity to explore my limits and overcome them. Not only stopping at medals, we want to spread the spirit of “ sports for life” – as the slogan of the World Masters Games: Sports Beyond Age, Life Without Limits, to encourage people to maintain physical activity at all ages.”

The World Masters Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes aged 30 and over, held every four years under the auspices of the International Sports for Older People Association (IMGA). The aim of the event is to promote an active, healthy and sustainable lifestyle for all, regardless of skill level or nationality.
This year, the World Masters Games will be held for the first time in Asia, specifically in the two cities of Taipei and New Taipei (Taiwan, China), from May 17 to 30, 2025. The event will bring together more than 25,000 athletes from 108 countries, competing in 35 different sports. Dancesport is one of the notable competitions, taking place from May 27 to 30 at the Taipei Arena multi-purpose stadium (Taiwan, China).
