Quang Ninh war veterans spread good values

In recent times, the provincial Veterans Association at all levels has always focused on strengthening the organization, innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the capacity of the staff in conjunction with developing members. From that foundation, hundreds of models, projects and practical tasks undertaken by veterans have clearly demonstrated effectiveness, contributing to socio-economic development, maintaining security and order and building grassroots cultural life.

The Provincial Association of War Veterans held a conference to contribute opinions to the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 16th Provincial Party Congress.

The provincial Veterans Association currently has nearly 55,700 members, operating widely in residential areas, agencies, units and enterprises. The contingent of veterans actively participates in the political system, with nearly 3,600 people working, 515 members are Party cell secretaries, village and neighborhood heads and over 700 people are People's Council delegates at all levels.

Identifying the quality of cadres as a key factor, the Provincial Veterans Association has organized many training courses and professional training for the Association's staff, focusing on propaganda, supervision, social criticism skills, fighting against wrong views, as well as digital transformation work... Thereby, firmly consolidating the ideology and politics of cadres and members, creating a foundation for building a strong and comprehensive Association organization.

The Association's movements are increasingly going into depth, in line with the reality and needs of its members. A typical example is the campaign "Vietnam Veterans participate in maintaining traffic order and safety and building traffic culture", with nearly 1,900 self-management models of traffic order and safety with Veterans as the core in the whole province. These models are present in almost all key areas such as intersections, school gates, river wharves, residential roads...

In the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, Quang Ninh war veterans continue to promote their pioneering role. From socialized sources and contributions from members, many practical projects have been implemented, especially in remote, border and island areas. The movement "War veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business " has also spread strongly with many examples of war veterans overcoming difficulties, being creative, supporting each other to escape poverty and become rich.

A highlight is the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for members in difficulty. In 2025, the whole province will build 17 houses with a support level of 80 million VND/house. The work of reviewing, mobilizing resources, and implementing construction are all carried out methodically, synchronously, and on schedule.

Many typical models from the grassroots have clearly demonstrated the role of war veterans. A typical example is the model of the War Veterans' Ceremonial Team of Bai Chay Ward, which has been operating for nearly 18 years with the spirit of volunteerism, attachment, and contribution of both material and spiritual, and has become a cultural beauty at the grassroots.

Or like veteran Le Van Duc (Ward 7, Bai Chay Ward) who does not hold a leadership position, and is still in difficult economic circumstances, but is always dedicated to the community, actively advising the Party Cell and Veterans Association in building solidarity, upgrading residential roads, and maintaining security and order. Veteran Le Van Duc said: I think that as a soldier, in any circumstance, one must live exemplary and be responsible to the collective. Without a position, without wealth, but still having the strength, I can still contribute a small part to building a more spacious and affectionate neighborhood. Seeing the people's consensus and the government's trust is the motivation for me to continue trying.

Implementing the organizational structure of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations from July 1, 2025, the Veterans Association at all levels in Quang Ninh still maintains effective operating procedures, clearly demonstrating the spirit that wherever they are and whatever they do, veterans are still exemplary, pioneering, and responsible.

In the journey of strong and comprehensive development of Quang Ninh today, there is always the lasting mark of the soldiers of the past, now exemplary war veterans, responsible, living beautifully and taking practical actions for the community.
