The target is calculated based on the capacity and specific performance of each athlete in each event and sport. In fact, to complete the task of winning 2-5 gold medals has been challenging and requires great efforts from the athletes. Up to now, all preparations of the delegation for the Asian Games 19 has been completed, athletes and coaches of the teams are ready".
Reporting to the Minister on the preparation of the HCM City National Sports Training Center teams for the 19th Asian Games, Mr. Pham Thanh Tu, Deputy Director of the Center, said that at the 19th Asian Games, the Center will have 14 teams with 1 expert, 14 coaches and 46 athletes, striving to win 1 gold medal and 5 bronze medals. The Minister affirmed: "At this event, we must set the highest goals and determination, considering this not only a place to compete for medals, but most importantly, our athletes and coaches can compete and learn from experience in a major continental playground. Of the 40 events of the Games, Vietnam will participate in 31 events, this is not a modest number, to see our strength and our efforts compared to the average level of other countries, Vietnam has a large number of athletes and participating events. Right from that, we must see the great efforts of the Vietnamese sports teams".
Minister Nguyen Van Hung also acknowledged the training and preparation efforts of the athletes and coaches of the Center. The Minister also reminded the players to uphold the spirit of self-awareness, solidarity, and effort in training and competition. The Minister hopes that the athletes and coaches of the Center in particular and the Vietnam Sports Delegation in general will continue to "stand firm and fight hard", making every effort to compete for the highest results, bringing glory to the country's sports.

Focus on nutrition and anti-doping
Minister Nguyen Van Hung also kindly visited, encouraged, and shared the difficulties with the athletes and coaches, and highly appreciated the spirit of training and not being afraid of difficulties of the teams to prepare for the 19th Asian Games. The Minister requested the Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Center to focus on issues of diet, nutrition, health care, and recovery for the athletes so that they have the best health and conditions for training and competition. The Minister said: "We have also learned lessons in health care, so I suggest doing better in health care for athletes from the time of preparation and competition at the 19th Asian Games. The nutrition for athletes must be adequate and appropriate, so that the athletes have the best physical condition and health to train, without affecting the competition process at the Games."
Another important issue that the Minister also reminded is the work of preventing and combating doping. The Minister requested the Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Center to really pay attention to this issue. According to the Minister, athletes being involved in doping not only damages their own honor but also affects the Vietnam Sports Delegation. Therefore, athletes must be really careful in using drugs. When there is a need to use drugs, absolutely do not use drugs of unknown origin, must go through doctors and the coaching board.
In conclusion, the Minister highly appreciated the training spirit and the spirit of readiness to perform the tasks of the teams at the 19th Asian Games. The Minister said: “On behalf of the Ministry's leadership, I acknowledge the efforts of the Center in particular, the units under the Ministry in general, and especially commend the training spirit and training work of the athletes and coaches. This is also an opportunity for us to learn from the experiences of other teams, opponents, and competitors, from which we can hone ourselves to be able to conquer the top. I hope that the athletes and coaches will constantly study and constantly seek knowledge, but also not be self-conscious, must try their best and always have the highest determination”.
