(Dan Tri) - The Mekolor - Great USA Alliance registered to work but did not attend the meeting on the North - South high-speed railway project. How "big" is this enterprise?

At the meeting on the North-South high-speed railway project held on the afternoon of November 27, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that the meeting invited 6 businesses to register to work, but only 5 businesses attended.

The remaining enterprises are Mekolor Investor Alliance and Great USA (USA) but did not appear. The government contacted but could not find the address.

“This is also the unit that boldly declared about mobilizing 100 billion USD for the project, but the address provided cannot be contacted,” the Deputy Prime Minister shared.

According to the National Business Registration Portal, Mekolor Joint Stock Company was established in 2016 with the main business of introducing and promoting trade, with Mr. Vo Xuan Truong as the legal representative.

The company's headquarters is located in Can Tho. According to Dan Tri reporters, this address is located in a small alley, even cars cannot enter. The house is 2 stories high, outside there is a signboard with the company name with information such as tax code, address, website, phone number.

Mekolor has a charter capital of 1 billion VND. The company's shareholder structure includes Mr. Vo Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director, who contributed 940 million VND and holds 94% of the shares; the remaining 2 shareholders each hold 3% of the shares, each contributing 30 million VND.

According to the latest announcement of changes in business registration content in September 2021, Mekolor has a total of 4 employees.

Regarding the capital contribution considered small, Mr. Truong said that it does not reflect the entire mobilization capacity and financial partners of the project, because the unit plays the role of coordinating the consortium - not the independent unit implementing the entire project.

"We are not begging. We are not begging. We are investing," Mr. Truong said, adding that his company is doing something "most judges would never dare to imagine."

In fact, Mekolor has been labeled as “canvas” and “explosive” many times. In 2018, this company attracted attention when it announced the construction of a digital ecosystem from digital assets, digital healthcare to digital social networks. Its financial resources are estimated at about 100 billion USD through corporate bonds and capital counterparties from economic organizations in and outside the region.

In 2021, Mekolor sued Barclays Long Island Limited at the International Court of Arbitration (ICC), demanding compensation of 20 billion EUR for violating its commitment to finance the project "Cu Lao Gieng - Fairyland Tourist Area" (Mekolor Everland) in An Giang.

The case involves several credit institutions and the SWIFT system, but there is no final conclusion.

Meanwhile, Great USA was introduced by Mr. Vo Xuan Truong as a business established in the state of Florida (USA). Great USA and Mekolor are working together on a waste-to-energy project, which according to Mr. Truong is the most modern in the world, with technology valued at 1.5 billion USD.
