Chau Thanh: Ensuring progress in implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

Implementing the Party and State's policy of completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025, Chau Thanh district has built and repaired 55 gratitude houses and 185 solidarity houses.

In the first phase, the district completed and handed over 43 solidarity houses to households before the Lunar New Year of At Ty. The remaining houses are currently being actively implemented by construction units, with a completion progress of 70% or more and ensuring the handover of houses to people before April 30, 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. Landless households are supported by the locality to build houses in concentrated residential areas in Thanh Long, Hoa Hoi, Tri Binh, and Dong Khoi communes.

In addition to implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Chau Thanh district also mobilized sponsors and benefactors to support the construction of 30 houses and repair 2 solidarity houses for poor households. Each house has an area of ​​over ^40m2 , ceiling, tiled floor, and is worth 90 million VND.
