The school leader said that the unit lacks teachers in all subjects, the annual allocation ratio is only 1.0, lacking 0.9 teachers/class. According to the staffing standards, the school lacks about 50% of teachers. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , junior high schools are assigned a maximum of 1.9 teachers/class. After calculating the number of students/class according to regulations, if there are any remaining students, for every 17 students for schools in region 1, or 20 students for schools in region 2, or 22 students for schools in region 3, an additional teacher will be assigned. Each junior high school is assigned a teacher to be the General Manager of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team.

Due to a lack of teachers, the school had to invite teachers from many other schools, but this was difficult because not all teachers could arrange their schedules to teach at An Thanh Secondary School.

“There is a shortage of teachers because the industry recruits not enough civil servants every year to allocate to schools. Teachers choose nearby schools to teach part-time and their schedules are full, so it is difficult to teach part-time,” said the leader of An Thanh Secondary School.

Regarding facilities, the school's leaders informed that the project to build more classrooms and functional rooms to meet the 2018 GeneralEducation Program by 2025, but up to now, in May, construction has not yet broken ground.

To overcome the difficulties, the school representative recommended that superiors study and supplement the number of missing teachers for the unit, to avoid the situation where the school lacks too many teachers.

Due to a shortage of teachers, some teachers have to teach more than the prescribed number of hours, leading to teachers working too many extra hours.

An Thanh Secondary School is located in an industrial park, so the number of students is very large, only 20 classes but a total of more than 900 students.
