Tay Ninh: Closing ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year

On May 24, all schools, from kindergarten to high school, in the province held a closing ceremony for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the latest regulations, not only teachers, principals and vice principals are also entitled to summer vacation. The summer vacation of principals and vice principals is flexibly arranged during the school year and during the summer vacation of teachers to ensure the operation of the school. The summer vacation schedule of principals and vice principals is reported to the competent management authority. For teachers alone, the summer vacation is two months (including other holidays during the year).

This school year, Tay Ninh has 131 preschools and kindergartens (106 public schools and 25 private schools), 303 generaleducation facilities (174 primary schools, 101 secondary schools and 28 high schools). The whole province has 236,199 students at all levels, including: 37,096 preschool students, 93,320 primary school students, 70,110 secondary school students and 35,673 high school students.

The whole sector has 12,378 people working in the Education sector (891 managers, 11,487 teachers), the staff structure is suitable for teaching requirements by subject and grade level.

As of December 2024, the whole province has 248/440 schools meeting national standards (56.36% rate). Of which, 73/133 are preschools, 115/174 are primary schools, 50/101 are secondary schools, and 10/28 are high schools.

The network of preschool and general education facilities in the province is widely distributed throughout 94/94 communes, wards and towns, ensuring reasonableness and suitability to the actual conditions of each locality, meeting the increasing demand for childcare of parents, while also fulfilling the learning requirements of children in the area. The reasonable distribution of preschool and general education facilities helps create favorable conditions for students to access quality education, while reducing the overload in densely populated areas.

After the school year ends, senior students (grades 9 and 12) continue to review and prepare for the 10th grade entrance exam and high school graduation exam.

2024-2025 is the first school year in which the Education sector completes the textbook replacement cycle and implements the 2018 General Education Program.
