Chau Thanh: Giving 62 gifts to orphans in difficult circumstances

On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, on the morning of May 31, the Women's Union of Chau Thanh district organized a program to give gifts to orphans in difficult circumstances.

Representatives of the Provincial Business Association and the District Women's Union presented gifts to the children.

At the program, the District Women's Union presented 62 gifts to children who were orphaned due to the Covid-19 epidemic and other orphans in especially difficult circumstances in the district. Each gift was worth 500,000 VND, including milk and daily necessities. The total value of the gifts was more than 30 million VND, supported by the District Women's Union, the Provincial Business Association and benefactors.

On this occasion, the Women's Union of Chau Thanh district also organized cooking and making banh xeo to serve the children. The hot, crispy banh xeo prepared by the women in the Union brought the children a happy meal, full of the homeland, helping them feel the care and closeness of a family.

This is a meaningful activity showing the Association's concern for orphans, contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity in the community.
