This is not just a simple art event, but also a journey of deep contemplation for each person to stop, calm down and find the core values of life. The exhibition with 45 exquisite watercolor works is not only an artist's story about his own spiritual journey but also a mirror for each person to question himself and find his own "enlightenment".

Painter Hoang Phong, born in 1987 in Ho Chi Minh City, is a familiar name in the Vietnamese art world. As a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association and a member of the International Watercolor Society IWWS 2015, he has persistently pursued the realist painting school for 13 years. This perseverance is not only reflected in his skillful techniques but also in the depth of thought that he breathes into each work. Realism requires meticulousness, the ability to observe carefully and reproduce realistically, but for Hoang Phong, that is enhanced by a strong spiritual inspiration.

The series of paintings “Ve Ngo” is the clearest evidence of this unique combination. With natural watercolors on French Arches paper, each painting is not only technically beautiful but also carries a source of calm energy. The 45 paintings are 45 stories, 45 spiritual moments recorded. From massive Buddhist architectural works such as Ba Den Pagoda, the statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son, the statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva, to the emotional moments of the lamp offering ceremony on the mountain top, all appear vividly and full of emotion.

But “Ve Ngo” does not stop at Ba Den Mountain. Artist Hoang Phong has expanded his spiritual journey to ancient pagodas, bearing the mark of Vietnamese Buddhist history and culture: Dau Pagoda ( Bac Ninh ) - one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, the origin of Buddhism; Dong Pagoda (Yen Tu) - located on the top of the sacred Yen Tu mountain. 1,068m above sea level; Keo Pagoda (Thai Binh) - a pagoda with a long history and unique architecture and Huong Pagoda ( Hanoi ) - a famous spiritual complex...

The painting exhibition “On Enlightenment” has become a journey connecting spiritual sources across the country, expressing the diversity but unity in the spirit of Vietnamese Buddhism. Each stroke, each color block is a contemplation of enlightenment, of the journey to find peace, even though the context is different, the spirit of “enlightenment” is still the red thread running through it.

For many visitors, admiring 45 watercolor paintings by artist Hoang Phong in a sacred space is a unique experience. They not only simply admire the vivid realistic drawings of spiritual works but also feel the peaceful energy radiating from each work. The paintings of the lantern offering ceremony, ancient pagodas, and the peaceful scenery of Ba Den Mountain evoke in each person memories and emotions of tranquility, faith, and the journey to find the meaning of life.

Standing in front of the painting of Linh Son Thanh Mau, in a moment of tranquility, I felt the compassion and tolerance emanating from the eyes and gentle smile of Bodhisattva. All suffering seemed to disappear. In particular, the paintings depicting ancient pagodas left me with deep and unforgettable impressions. They were like magical doors leading me back to the past, where sacred and lasting traditional cultural values were preserved. In that ancient space, I felt every breath of time, every moment of silence and peace - things that the hustle and bustle of modern life sometimes makes me forget.

Not only stopping at enjoying art, the "Ve Ngo" painting exhibition also creates opportunities for visitors to practice mindfulness. In the quiet space, many people choose to quietly admire, contemplate and feel the peace spreading, temporarily putting aside the worries of everyday life. They find relaxation not only from the beauty of the paintings but also from the solemn, pure atmosphere of the exhibition space at the top of the sacred mountain.

It can be said that "Ve Ngo" has succeeded in turning an art exhibition into a profound spiritual experience, a journey back to oneself. It is a place where art and religion intersect, where the beauty of creation and human talent blend, bringing visitors unforgettable emotions and true peace.
