According to the reporter, on the morning of May 31 (ie May 5th of the lunar calendar), at traditional markets in the province, the purchasing power of items serving the Doan Ngo festival increased. Fruits, fresh flowers, bamboo leaf sticky rice cakes... were sold in abundance, attracting a large number of consumers to choose.
According to the survey, prices of goods are generally stable, without major fluctuations: fruits such as lychee, longan, dragon fruit, rambutan, grapefruit, mangosteen... range from 20,000 to 70,000 VND/kg; chrysanthemums, lisianthus, gerberas... from 15,000 to 50,000 VND/bunch depending on form and region; banh ú lá tre costs from 50,000 VND/dozen.
Ms. Truong Thi Ngan, a trader at Tay Ninh City Market, said that the price of chrysanthemums of all kinds is usually 15,000 VND/bunch, and this year's Doan Ngo festival is still sold at the old price, without any price increase. Consumer purchasing power is also stable as every year.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thao, a trader at Tay Ninh City Market, shared: "Fruits such as grapefruit, dragon fruit, rambutan, and longan are still sold at normal prices. I and the traders here do not wait for holidays or Tet to increase prices. We still maintain the same prices on normal days."
The Duanwu Festival usually takes place in a bustling, joyful atmosphere. Not only do families gather around a full table of food, but also neighbors, after a busy half year of work and life, also take time to sit together.
