From June 1, 2025: Social Insurance Region XXIX (Tay Ninh - Long An) starts operating

Tay Ninh Provincial Social Insurance (SSI) has just sent an official dispatch to Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and district-level People's Committees on organizing the implementation of functions and tasks according to the new organizational structure in the entire Vietnam Social Insurance system according to Decision No. 1733/QD-BTC of the Minister of Finance.

Accordingly, Tay Ninh Provincial Social Insurance and Long An Provincial Social Insurance will merge into Social Insurance Region XXIX, headquartered in Long An Province, and begin operating from June 1, 2025. Mr. Nguyen Van Huan - Director of Tay Ninh Provincial Social Insurance was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of Social Insurance Region XXIX.

Social Insurance of Region XXIX has 8 functional departments: Department of Collection Management and Participant Development; Department of Social Insurance Regime; Department of Health Insurance Regime; Department of Planning - Finance; Department of Inspection - Examination; Department of Propaganda and Participant Support; Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation; Department of Organization - Administration.

In addition, the district-level Social Insurance under the Social Insurance of Region XXIX (Tay Ninh - Long An) continues to perform the tasks and powers of the Social Insurance in the management area until the competent authority rearranges it to suit the commune-level administrative unit.

The organization and implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies and regimes; management of social insurance, unemployment insurance (UI), and health insurance revenue and expenditure in Tay Ninh city will be assigned to the Social Insurance of Hoa Thanh town for monitoring and management.

The organization and merger of social insurance with the form of regional social insurance aims to streamline the organizational apparatus according to the policies of the Party and the State, marking an important development step in the management and implementation of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies in the provinces expected to be merged according to Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15 dated March 15, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
