Phong Dien forest fire, Thua Thien-Hue mobilized many forces to put out the fire

On the afternoon of April 18, Phong Hai Border Guard Station, Thua Thien- Hue Provincial Border Guard coordinated with functional forces and people to extinguish a forest fire in Phong Hai commune, Phong Dien district.

Initial information, at around 13:00, in the cajuput forest area in Hai Phu village, Phong Hai commune, a large fire broke out. Local people focused on extinguishing the fire but the dry weather and wind caused the fire to spread quickly.

Phong Hai Border Guard Station and other functional forces put out forest fires.

Upon receiving the information, Phong Hai Border Guard Station mobilized 20 officers and soldiers to coordinate with functional forces, local authorities and people to fight the fire. They both tried to put out the fire and clear a runway to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading.

After about an hour of effort, the forest fire was basically controlled and completely extinguished. Authorities are clarifying the damage caused by the fire of 2 hectares of Melaleuca forest.
