Fire at Van Quan Secondary School in Hanoi

On the afternoon of March 16, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Hanoi Police, said that at 3:17 p.m. the same day, a fire broke out at Van Quan Secondary School, Van Quan Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi.

After receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Ha Dong District Police dispatched 2 fire trucks; Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Area 4, Department PC07 dispatched 2 fire trucks to the scene.

After about 10 minutes, the fire was extinguished.

According to the police, the fire started in the office of the Vice Principal of Van Quan Secondary School, on the 2nd floor of Building A. The fire area was about 8 square meters, black smoke spread along the hallway and rose dozens of meters high.

The preliminary cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit. Police noted that students and teachers were safe in the fire.

"The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is being assessed," informed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Hanoi Police.
