The Ministry of Science and Technology has just officially announced the List of major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, marking an important step in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, opening up breakthrough opportunities for the strong development of the science and technology sector.
Accordingly, the list includes 21 key problems, identified to enhance national competitiveness, promote digital transformation, promote innovation and develop advanced technologies.
The problems not only create opportunities for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to approach, research, and solve practical problems, but also contribute to creating a solid foundation for the country's sustainable development in the context of international integration.

The selected major problems include many important fields such as: Application of artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), biotechnology and blockchain...
In particular, among them, the issues of building a national biological data platform integrating AI, developing digital platforms and smart sensors for sustainable aquaculture, and researching and manufacturing advanced 5G and 6G devices are being focused on.
In addition, many problems also focus on researching, producing and manufacturing low-altitude satellites; developing Make in Vietnam artificial intelligence models; building semiconductor chip manufacturing factories; building and deploying a Vietnamese blockchain service network; building a system for exploiting, analyzing and mapping industrial property to serve national technology development and innovation...
The Ministry of Science and Technology assigned Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to proactively research, mobilize resources and participate in solving major recognized problems.
Agencies and units under the Ministry in charge of the major problem actively coordinate, support, and connect information for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to participate effectively and practically.
With strong determination from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam is creating a creative environment, promoting domestic and international cooperation, contributing to affirming its position and enhancing the ability to apply science and technology in key areas of the country.
