The People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has instructed the Department of Health to direct the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department to coordinate with the People's Committees and Education Departments of districts, towns, and cities to regularly organize inspections and supervision to ensure food safety and hygiene in schools, especially primary schools and kindergartens that provide boarding services.

As VietNamNet reported, in recent days, public opinion has been stirred by information circulating on social media about a "30,000 VND meal consisting of only two pieces of sausage" served to preschool teachers at Anh Duong Preschool.
Following the incident, the authorities in Chau Duc district launched an investigation and worked with the school. They determined that the reported information was accurate and that Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue, the school principal, had made several mistakes.
Late in the afternoon of September 17th, approximately 35 teachers and cafeteria staff from Anh Duong Kindergarten met and held a dialogue with Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban, Chairman of the Chau Duc District People's Committee, to express their concerns and grievances.

At the meeting, many teachers and staff members were deeply moved, breaking down in tears and confirming that the image of the meal trays circulating on social media was accurate. According to them, the meager meal portions had been a long-standing issue, dating back to when Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue became the school principal.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban pledged to verify and handle the case, clarifying the responsibilities of the individuals involved. He also instructed the Department of Internal Affairs to lead and advise on the formation of a team to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten from 2021 onwards, the period when Ms. Hue took over as principal.
Meeting with the district chairman, the teacher broke down in tears while talking about the meal consisting of only two pieces of sausage.
The principal is accused of shortchanging preschool children on their meals.
